Are the jasper xbox 360 models really more reliable?

I've been through 3 360s already, all of them lasting exactly only 1 year :(

*start rant
1st one was a launch model, died to a 3rrod after 1 year. People told me to get the zephyr models due to them being more reliable. So me and my bro went out to do just that and guess what happens after 1 year. Yep, got a e74 error this time! People then told me this time to get a falcon unit because they were a helluva lot better than previous models. So we bought a falcon and made sure to take extra good care by not playing for extended hours, always keeping it well ventilated and not even using 1080i to lessen the strain on the gpu. After 1 year, frickin 3rrod shows its ugly face again. Now, I have 2 paperweights lying around the house, 3 spare hdds and 5 controllers T_T
*end rant

btw, warranty is void so I can't send them out to microsoft. People in forums and stuff are telling me that the jaspers will take care of the hardware problems. Can I trust them for the 4th time because this 360 fiasco is getting ridiculous?

I'm not sure you're going to like this answer - but quit voiding your warranty. The warranty on the RROD problem is greatly extended. In a nutshell, if you get the Red Ring of Death, Microsoft is going to replace your console. Unless, of course, you've made modification to that console, as I suspect you have because you now have several dead XBOX 360's laying around that you couldn't send back to Microsoft.

While Microsoft has no excuse for producing a product that dies at this incredible rate, you similarly are aware of the problem and know that you may need to send back the console once it dies.

That being said, I have a jasper and it's alive and well for some time now. If you get one, don't void your warranty. They still have pretty high death rates.
Asker's Rating:
• I guess not voiding the warranty is the best option. Such an obvious thing I know, but we always took good care of our consoles so its kinda disappointing that they still die out randomly.

Yeah, I guess that's the best thing to do. Its still kinda frustrating since all our other old consoles still work A-ok

Btw you know what, our falcon is working again lol. I currently have the case open with the dvd drive moved outside and an 80mm fan above the gpu heatsink. After having the xclamp fix on it, it still had 3RL issues but after leaving it on for 10 or so mins with the fan unplugged, it started working again. I wonder how long it'll last though haha.
