Who is the greatest video game villian of all time?
In your opinion, who is the greatest video game villian of all time? Wesker from Resident Evil? Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII? Robotnik from Sonic? In some cases these are apples and oranges, but state your case and win some dollars!

I'm gonna say Kefka from Final Fantasy 3/6. This is a villain with no morals who does anything in his power to get what he wants. Which ranges from poisoning his own troops to kill the people of Doma Castle, to tricking the heroes by having the Emperor imprison him to gain the trust of the rebellion, to killing the Emperor and ruining the world to gain more magic.
Kefka also has a great laugh which is very Joker-esque, along with a number of great lines throughout the game.
Kefka also made into the Top 10 of GameSpot's "Top Ten Video Game Villains" at number 8, thanks to a write-in vote. In 1994 he was ranked the best villain to appear on Nintendo consoles back in 1994 through a Nintendo Power poll. He ranked 3rd in UGO.com's "Top 25 Japanese RPG Characters" article and ranked #6 on a similar list from IGN for "Top 25 Final Fantasy Characters".
Sephiroth's just a guy with mommy issues compared to Kefka.

Precisely what I was looking for, a well defined argument based on a specific evil Character! Nice job!
This man speaks the truth! After all these years playing videogames, I still haven't come across any character as demented and evil as FF6's Kefka.

Donkey Kong from the original Donkey Kong game. He still your girl the princess he smart enough to know your coming and throw carts at you. So am think it could be a reverse play on Darwinism, the monkey is smarter than the man in the never ending struggle to find your way to the top and get the girl no need for 3d or words it was just good old evil.

me and hours of playing the game.

Missingo from pokemon R/B/Y because if you wanted to beat the game and capture every possible pokemon he would end up curropting your data. What could possibly be worse than a villan that forces you to restart your game?
I vote for "Psycho Mantis" from Metal Gear Solid, for having the most deranged way to kill him off. Psycho actually captures control of your entire system, switching off the screen, knowing all other games you have on your memory-card, and 'reading' your controller, thereby always know your next move (which you could only avoid by plugging the controller to another port!)
This be psycho, that be screaming mantis. XD

Sepiroth from FFVII
LeChuck! Monkey Island is alive (on my iPhone!)
For me it would be either GlaDOS (Portal) or Shodan (System Shock 2). The first one is the funniest A.I. villain ever, the second one the most scary.
I am going to have say Bowser from Super Mario Brothers. He has have been around forever. Even more so he is one of the few villains that is a playable character in subsequent Mario games.
Bowser from Super Mario.
Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII), Ganon (The Legend of Zelda), or Mike Tyson (Mike Tysons Punch out)
Wesker from Resident Evil 2 and 5.
The Joker No Questions Asked :)
This is my list :::::::
1. Ganondorf (The Legend of Zelda)--> there is like no way to keep him dead. The best you can do is kill him although he somehow comesback to live or lock him up somewhere really safe but he always comes back. He's manipulative, deceitful, and pretty badass. Especially in Twilight Princess.
***************************************************
From your List !! It is Wesker !!!!
********************************************************
2. Albert Wesker (Resident Evil)--> he's like behind all of the zombie outbreaks and he's really fast and strong, especially in RE5. Although he's shown up in only a handful of RE games, he's definitely the one controlling everything behind the scenes.
3. Seymour (Final Fantasy X)--> beating him four times was fun. It was nice to see the religious and political corruption when the world's leaders were supporting seymour even though they knew he was evil. I liked him b/c he was a complex character. You knew from the start he was evil but later you find out why. He suffered a great loss when he was little and he wanted to end people's suffering through death.
4. Saddler (Resident Evil 4)--> Creepy cult leader.
5. Zant (Zelda: Twilight Princess)--> He was badass with/without his mask off. He seemed like the kind of guy you didnt want to mess with. He covered the entire world in darkness. But when you had to fight him, he acted like a hyperactive kid on crack. WTF?
6. Sin (Final Fantasy X)--> it's not really SIN itself that makes it a
good villain (sin's not a person, it's like a monster). The reason I put sin on this list is because of the complicated story behind it. 1000 years of lies and betrayal. 1000 years of punishment. The fact that the man everyone worshipped and looked up to is actually the one keeping this monster alive. Oh, and good people are turned into this monster to the point where they can no longer control themself. No matter how many people are sacrificed and no matter how many weapons are used against it, Sin cannot be truly defeated. It doesnt really make sense when you just read about it. If you play the game (FFX is a GREAT game btw), you'll understand how deep it is.
7. Dark Link (Zelda): The only game I've fought him in was Ocarina of Time. I like how the Main character, Link, is so good and so pure that his dark side is like a completely different person. When you fight him, Dark Link mirrors all of your attacks, and blocks, so it's really hard to beat him without a good strategy.
8. Bowser--> I agree, he isnt as evil as he should be. But he doesnt give up and is always causing havoc.
9. Ada Wong (Resident Evil 2 and 4)--> Not a villain, but still pretty cool. Although it seems that she works for the bad guys, she will go against orders to help leon (the good guy) out. It's actually unknown who exactly she works for. Although she's a manipulative liar, she might actually have a good side. I wouldnt be surprised if in the end, she was doing all these things for the bad guys but was really working for the good guys. I love how she can kick zombie *** while wearing a dress and heels.
10. Lisa Trevor (Resident Evil 1 and Umbrella Chronicles): She's only a minor enemy in the games, although you encounter her several times. She's the only one that you have to dodge, since she is pretty much bulletproof and can never be killed. I like her because she is very creepy. She rips out other people's faces and wears them. And she walks around slowly because her hands and legs are chained. Her story is pretty sad. She became that way because she was kidnapped when she was a little girl and Umbrella's scientists were experiementing on her to the extent that they turned her into a monster. Even though she is a strong, hideous monster, her underground creepy bedroom has some things a normal little girl would have, like dolls. Even after so many years as a monster, she still shows concern for her long dead mother (who was also captured and died during the experiments)
