Next Question
I moved to Vermont 3 years ago and I love it. Here is why.
I grew up in the midwest but did not like it. The heat and mindset was not for me.
My husband and I moved to his home town in New Jersey. I liked New Jersey. When then had a child and it changed our thinking. The children we knew in Jersey were growing up a lot faster than we wanted our child to.
My husband had attended high school in Vermont and always wanted to return. I was concerned. I wondered what we would do and where would I shop. So we started making weekend trips to visit. I found a Costco and a couple of malls in the Burlington area. We decided to make the move.
Three years later and I still love the place. We are out doing things every weekend. My children are growing up in a slow nice way.
There are alot of outdoor activies. There are corn mazes, apple pickings, etc. . . in the fall. Skiing and ice skating in the winter. Swimming and hiking in the summer. That is just to name a few.
Property taxes are high but it is worth it. Good Luck.
