Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

These are the side effects of vasectomy:

1. Research and studies showed that vasectomy can lead to auto-immune disease like multiple sclerosis, diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid arthritis, some types of hepatitis, Addison’s disease (malfunction of the adrenal glands), and lupus erythematosis.
Another study conducted by Nancy J. Alexander and Thomas B. Clarkson concluded this can also exacerbate atherosclerosis which is hardening of the arteries.

2. Studies also show that vasectomy can also lead to prostate cancer.

3. For men who underwent vasectomy, there is an increased risk of lung cancer, non-Hodgkin's lymphom and multiple myeloma after 20 years of vasectomy.

4. Higher risk of kidney stones and vasectomy is also associated with testicular cancer.

5. Psychological side effects like personality disturbance.

I consulted my family Doctor who is experienced in this field for 20 years explained that one of the Worst Vasectomy Side Effects is the Fact that it is Irreversible. Some other side effects include a gradual but definite decrease in sexual desire.

Vasectomy is a minor surgical sterilization procedures done on men wherein the vasa deferentia of a man are severed, and then tied/sealed.

Here are the side effects:

- Temporary local inflammation or swelling of the testes
- Inability to obtain an erection or the inability to sustain an erection.
- Diminished sexual desire (nearly 20% experienced the problem)
- Decreasing the volume of an ejaculation about 10%
- 66% will experience Vasitis Nodosa (an inflammatory condition of the vas deferens)
- Sperm Granuloma (a lump that appears along the vasa deferentia or epididymides)
- Twice as likely to develop prostate cancer (a study of Journal of American Medical Association on 1993)
