USB Root Hub problem in Win7 RC1
Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
I uninstalled all USB controllers, unplugged all USB devices and rebooted.
Went into device manager and I got no yellow question marks in any of the devices. As soon as I tried plugign one in the question marks popped up.
I tried this with 3 different USB devices and the result was the same.
I did the whole process again with my mouse plugged in through it all, and while rebooting my USB mouse worked for a second as I was moving it absent-mindedlyduring boot-up and then just stopped. My brother is experiencing the same problem having upgraded from Vista, on his Compaq laptop (mine's a Gateway desktop).
I can usually fix these things myself but this one's got me stumped.

M$Not sure what pc make/brand you referring to. You could check for that particular make.
And also I would try a clean install instead of upgrading.
