What kind of policies did you have to do due to peer or party pressure?
What would you change in American Politics in general?
Do we need more competition in elections (e.g. more parties)?
Do you think New York should've stayed New Amsterdam? Was that the point where everything went downhill? ;)
Just a few from the top of my head.
The other would be: Were you aware of any assanation plans against you? If not, were you afraid some day someone would try to kill you?

In the previous administration, the responsibilities of the Vice-President were significantly expanded; some contend that since the passage of the War Powers Act, the President's powers have been diminished.
I would ask van Buren the following:
"What do you think about the changes in the offices of Secretary of State, Vice-President and President?"

Martin van Buren was one of just two people to serve as Secretary of State, Vice-President and President (the other being Jefferson). In the previous administration, the responsibilities of the Vice-President were significantly expanded; some contend that since the passage of the War Powers Act, the President's powers have been diminished.
I would ask van Buren the following:
"What do you think about the changes in the offices of Secretary of State, Vice-President and President?"
