Hi, mb. The version of the unemployment extension bill that contains the extension of the tax credit for homebuyers had already passed the House (earlier in the week). It was signed by the President on Friday, according to thomas.gov*.
Though the signing was overshadowed by the Ft. Hood tragedy AND by discussion of the unemployment rate, the White House did post this picture of the President signing the bill. (It did not mention the tax credit extension in either the accompanying article or during the press briefing.

Does the US Senate's homebuyer tax credit expansion to non-first-time buyers have to get passed by the House and President?
The US Senate just passed a bill to extend the time for the first-time homebuyer tax credit and also to expand the coverage beyond first-time homebuyers. Is this a done deal now or does it have to go through like a law with House of Representatives also passing and President signing?
