There's also the fact that March isn't a very strong time to release a game. Typically sales kind of lull in the early part of the new year because of the recovery from the holiday release blitz, and if ever there was a game to include in that blitz, it's God of War 3.
It doesn't make sense that such a huge game would release in March, but I could believe this holiday season or summer 2010. Most likely is this Christmas, and if that doesn't happen then it will most likely be the summer after. March would be a strange choice.
