UFOs, will the U.S. government ever admit that they exist and that they (the U.S.) have bases like area 51 that research such possibilities?

As for whether UFOs exist... that's another matter. Top secret research facility that harbours state secrets doesn't automatically equate to "the government is hiding aliens".

M$Some of you think that they are unidentified. A few of us know otherwise. Why don't they stop here? No refueling station. The nearest one is over 20 light years away. So what are they doing here? Mostly taking pictures. The Great Wall is especially popular.

M$UFO FUN FACTS
* A UFO sighting occurs somewhere on the planet every three minutes.
* Hundreds of thousands of unexplained sightings have been reported all around the world, many of which were documented or photographed.
* A Roper poll in 1991 said that 4 million Americans believe they have been abducted.
* A Gallup poll in 1996 said that 71 percent of Americans believe the government knows more than it is telling us about UFOs.
* Millions of people have seen UFOs, from biblical prophets to astronauts to housewives to astronomers.
* The first documented UFO sighting is in the Bible. The prophet Ezekiel described a "great cloud with fire enfolding itself, a wheel in the middle of a wheel that descended and fired lightning bolts into the earth."
* An incident was reported in Basel, Switzerland, on Aug. 7, 1566.
* The first photograph of a UFO was taken in 1883 by astronomer Jose Bonilla in Zacatecas, Mexico.
* Alexander Hamilton reported a cow being kidnapped by an airship in Le Roy, Kan., in April 1897.
* Winston Churchill reported a strange airship in Kent, England, Oct. 14, 1912. It was the first case of a UFO being "officially" reported.
* On Feb. 25, 1942, a large, dark object over the Los Angeles coastline was mistaken for a Japanese attack and drew a barrage of anti-aircraft fire. Memos to President Roosevelt confirmed the existence of unidentified aerial objects.
* UFOs were often seen and photographed during NASA's space missions in the 1960s.
* UFO sightings have been claimed by former President Jimmy Carter, Clyde Tombaough (the astronomer who discovered Pluto) and William Shatner (who claims to have been rescued by aliens who pointed him in the right direction when he was lost in the Mojave Desert).

M$If "Aliens" existed, then im sure they would have made their presence known for a fact. Just as if we had access to another galaxy, we would probably make contact with anyone and everyone. Thats just what i think.

M$We assume we know what is up there if it fits our preconceived notions. If it looks like a plane, sounds like a plane, flies in a pattern we've seen planes fly - it must be a plane.
But without proper instrumentation, close-ups and experience we don't really know what it is.
Hence, a UFO.
What most people actually "imply" by UFO is something otherworldly has visited us or is visiting us.
To that I giggle.
1. Advanced technology actually getting caught by mistake? Silly.
2. Engine trouble, oops? Hardly.
3. Beings from another planet! Seriously?
I know there are beings on other planets just like I know they do not need or use technology like we create. I mean, why would they need it?
Everything we "know" and assume about life on other planets is based on Earth, "our" technology and "our" science fact or fiction.
If they're not "human" they're aliens, right? The only way we'll ever come close to discovering life elsewhere is to get over ourselves and quit presuming "our way is the only way".
Our inability to conceive or perceive the truth does not make the truth "alien".
There will continue to be objects that fly that you can not identify. Others can. But not you. So do the general public UFO's will always exist.
But they are not "aliens" from other worlds.
We're it. This is where it all happens.
I'll even toss in another bit of useful information for free.
"If time travel were possible the Earth would be flat." There is no going back in time because time is a human concept. A necessary creation chronicling our own existence.
Time assumes there's a beginning and an end. A wholly human concept.
Enjoy! :)

M$Until the day comes when there is full disclosure, we'll just have to imagine what area 51 is doing, what the space crafts look like, and what J Edgar Hoover favorite color dress was.

M$By Peter Sorel-Cameron for CNN. These are stories written by people who have no background in science, space, or anything other than literary freedom.
This says 100 to 1 still good odds.

I'm talking about aliens that are advanced enough to master interplanetary travel not microbes and planets that have the potential to have life on its surface.
According to this the odds are 1 in 3.

I don't know if they ever will - but the question presupposes that its true in the first place... that's what I'd like to know.
