that's the problem, twitter's quite silly for the most part. I went to see Andy Roddick's twitter page and he just had garbage there as well. Though I heard that the Dalai Lama was using it at one stage - that could be interesting to read.

andreaxjean - I use it for everything because thats how people know me. They don't know me by that just because it's my name, but because of a nickname I was given a while ago that has nothing to do with me... my friend Brooke just thought it sounded awesome. That nickname was Andrea Jean the Sex Machine.. which has been my display name on Myspace for the past 2 years. Maybe I am a sex machine and don't know it... I mean I do have a daughter and I'm only 20. Can you say, "Horny teenagers?" =]

www.twitter.com/zachhurst is mine. You should follow me because I re-tweet a lot of good tech news/social media articles. I also have 100+ tech news/social media blogs in my rss reader and actually read every article that comes through each day. The interesting ones I will tweet as well. In other words, my Twitter feed is essentially a composition of the best tech news imho :)

As for who you should follow, it all depends on what you are looking to get or contribute to the service. If I were starting over today, I would do a search on Twitter for people who have "work from home", WAHD or WAHM on their profile and follow them. In fact, this was one of the things I did when getting started. Obviously you would also want to add anyone who you know personally. :-)
If you're into breaking news, there's only one choice (in my opinion): @breakingnews ... I don't know how they do it but these guys rock!
