What is the best deal on an LCD HDTV for under $700 and where specifically can I buy it in the LA area?
I'm willing to spend up to $1000, but I'd really rather not pay that much. Are there any retail electronics stores having great deals right now?

Fry's Electronics has a nice Toshiba 40" LCD full 1080p TV for $750 right now. Fry's has always been a really good store for all my friends on the west coast. Good luck and enjoy!
