The first part of the answer is VERY carefully, you want things to get better, not worse.
I have a samsung lcd screen that came with it's own cleaning cloth (similar thing can be picked up from eBay for very little).
I clean my screens by slightly dampening this clith with warm water and gently wiping over the screen.
Cloth is something like this:

How do you clean the screens on these big LCD flat panel TV's?
Please don't just copy and paste answers, I've read all the articles. I'm looking for your own personal experiences on this one!

Now I have tried water and a soft cloth but only ended up with really nasty streak marks. Might have to check into that cloth.
