Any good suggestions on an HD/Plasma/LCD/Flat Screen TV for under $1,000.
I'm new to this whole Big TV thing and was looking for some advice on what type of TV to get and if anyone new of any great deals right now. I was hoping to get one over 40 inches and spend less than $1,000.

I've got a Sharp LCD that looks great. Was about $600 when I got it, which was nearly 9 months ago, so I'm sure price has even gone down since then. Mine is 32", but there are 37" and 42" varieties of the exact same TV as well.http://www.sharpusa.com/products/TypeLanding/0,1056,s77-1-32,00.html

I'm actually trying to answer this question... but I no longer see a place where it will let me post an answer. Sorry to the person I'm commenting on, as my post has nothing to do with what you said.
TV's have gotten fairly cheap now. I found a 1080p 40" Samsung on Amazon. It's brand new, free shipping and only $879.98.

Samsung is a brand name and 1080p is the best spec you can get as of yet. However, if you find you're still looking for a different option, try using the link I have below. The site is slickdeals (safe and I use it often). The link I'm posting is preformatted to search for their "video" selection.

Hope this helps!!
ps.- Has the question expired? I'm confused why I cannot answer it.

The person asking the question has already decided that he did not like any of the answers, and therefore did not want to provide a tip. Once this happens, the question is "closed." Comments are left open, but you cannot provide any new answers.

Seriously, you're gonna get a lot of value, but I suggest waiting until AFTER Christmas. Inventory is building up.
