Although fans feel the show didn't get a fair shake, its ratings were too low and its expenses too high to be a credible candidate for a show return.

I agree. Just a small clarification, he's got an odd name for sure but his name is Joss Whedon. And it may come back in movie form at some point, another sequel to the big screen adaptation of Serenity.
