Who loves Sony's adverts?

Sony has produced a variety of adverts where they have gone to a great scale to produce them. Their bouncy ball ad is one of the most famous, throwing thousands of bouncy balls in San Francisco as well as their other ads like the play doh bunnies, foam, paint, dominoes and pyramid.

Oh I loved the bouncy ball one! I've never seen any of these before. I got a kick out of the part where the dog's up on the wall watching the bouncy balls go past, all confused. And the part where the frog jumps with the balls! I would've loved to be there and watch that go past. Well... and then once it was over I would've inspected my car for damage. :P

The paint fireworks... oh my goodness... LOL... I loved the part with the rainbow up the building... but the best has gotta be the car alarm going off in the background at the end.

The thread was sort of oh, bouncy ball copycat... though the ending with the thread covering the mountain was kind of cool. Still though, the bouncy ball one was better.

The foam city one cracked me up... they should do that with blowing bubbles... omg can you imagine New York City filled with bubbles?

The bunny and domino ones were good, but not as good as the others. It just didn't have the same effect on me, and it looks like it wasn't nearly as much fun to watch in person as the others must've been. But if I'd seen these before the others, they would've been cool.

All in all, I'd have to say that they did what they wanted... make such drastic advertisements that they'll stay in people's minds forever. Even if Sony goes bankrupt, people will still remember (and maybe even try to re-create) the bouncy ball one for a long time. And the people who saw it in person? They'll remember it for a lifetime and probably even tell their kids and grandkids... though by then, they'll probably only remember the balls and not the company.

• I hate choosing best answers for opinion questions as everyone's opinion is equal to each others. However, angilla had a very detailed response detailing each video and therefore gets my vote! Well done!

Hi angilla!

They're amazing these ads and I think they are making an even better one for this year. I would love to see lots of balloons being let off in different countries and for them to be multi-coloured.

A really detailed response! Great!

@thelastscionspeaks Haha, I guss that's why they showed the close-ups of the balls bouncing off the cars, to show there was no damage done. I'd be out there checking over my car anyway though - and making sure no balls were stuck in my exhaust pipe! I bet they were finding bouncy balls in all sorts of crazy places for months after that, lol.

@cjd Hi! :) Well at the end of the dominoes one, where they do that circle... they could do something similar, like letting off colored balloons in the pattern of that country's flag? Or they could do something with people flying kites. But I'd still love to see one like the foam but with everyone blowing bubbles!

I like them. Very good use of space and effects. They are visually appealing and creative. Well thought out, directed, and edited very well. The music fit with the content well and the DP's had talent.

Thanks for giving your view. I agree with you that they are very imaginitive and promote the aspect of colour well in the form of the advert as well as its music and theme.
