My favorite Muppet is Grover. Not only was he puppeteered by the amazing Frank OZ (who also did Yoda, Fozee and Miss Piggy), his character was so sweet and kind and nice.
As "The Waiter" he would always try to be so helpful to the blue round-faced customer, but always just bungle it up.
As Super Grover, he would try to be big and bold and adventurous, but more often wind up crashing. But he tried anyway. And the cape and helmet were made of awesome.
And then there's "The Monster AT the End of This Book," which is the sweetest and funniest kids story ever.
Grover is the most childlike of the muppets, IMHO, and just wants people to like him. His unbridled enthusiasm for life is a role model for us all.
And he is cute, too.
And that's why I love him.

I worked for many many years in a bookstore and would often get the question "what is your favorite book"... I would almost always get odd looks but my answer was always "The Monster At The End Of This Book"! I was so excited when they re-released the book in original hardcover goldenbook a few years ago :)

Sheesh, you guys are way too complimentary tonight...I'm blushing.
I agree, dozers rock. There are few muppets that I do not love.
