River was definitely the best. When she wasn't rambling, she always had some really funny things to add to conversations, such as "Also, I can kill you with my brain". See the clip below.

I think his name was actually "Wash" (which was short for Washburne)

That would have to be Jayne. Because all he wants to do is shoot stuff, get paid and he has is very own town with its own theme song

I really liked Kaylee. Down to earth, good looking, and capable of fixing a spaceship. What more could you ask for?

I like River. She is incredibly sexy and unpredictable.
Jayne. He was capable of being truly bad, so whenever he turned good, it meant a lot more. Also, he had great reactions to the events going on around him.

Mal. Always trying to do what he thought was the right thing, even at great cost to himself.
I think my favorite would have to be Wash because he was a character who seemed friendly and kind of normal.
I liked a lot about Mal in the series and totally would've picked him but I don't like how they changed his character in Serenity and made him more of a stereotypical gruff a--hole type.
