No it wasn't banned in our house. We got to watch it, and we turned out ok. That's funny you bring up the Simpsons. I remember one of my friends parents wouldn't let them watch the Simpsons too.
I think the show had a lot of adult humor so it's not exactly what you want your kids to be watching, so that's why parents banned it.

When you were growing up, was "Married... With Children" banned in your house?
I know so many children of the 80s and 90s were not allowed to watch it. What do you think, specifically, bothered parents so much?
