In my personal opinion they need to start killing off characters (beginning with Sadie and Lexi) and just make spin-off focusing on Chandra Wilson's son.
According to "Entertainment Weekly", the producers of "Grey's" do have several changes in store. T.R. Knight plans on leaving the show, while "Kissing Jessica Stein" star Jennifer Westfeldt and "Mad Men" player Jon Hamm plan on joining the cast. The magazine also explains that Izzy's hallucinations are caused by an illness and will not continue into next season (thank goodness).
According to E! Online, Kevin McKidd will also be gone at the end of the season to work on the movie incarnation of the Showtime program "Rome".
Big changes are coming, hopefully they will save this previously great show.

I, for one, am looking forward to Grey's Anatomy: The Dark Knight.
