What was the best season of Lost?

I think I like the first the most.

The season to come Lost Season 5 will be the best. The return to the island will be epic, and the characters are becoming more compelling each year.

Season 1. Season 2 was good too, but Season 3 was really bad. I hear they wrote the first 2 seasons as a whole piece, not thinking past that. Then had to append something after the fact.

It's a rare show that I can actually say all the seasons are excellent. The person above me who said season 3 was really bad is an idiot. He "heard" wrong. They actually wrote the whole plot of the show before even shooting the pilot.

Season 4 is my favorite because of the flashforwards (so cool!); but it's a show where you need to watch every single episode.

Season 3 was only bad for the first seven episodes. After all the crying/yelling/pouring rain of those episodes, it got pretty good.
