This was a difficult situation in which to pick best answer, but I think PuffNStuff was pretty advanced in a lot of ways.

I'd say it's a tie between Mr. Rogers and Mr. Dress Up. However, I'm only 20 so I am only familiar with those as far back as my childhood.
