Well the whole concept is that Holly Hunter's character is a pretty crude detective who likes to, you know, have SEX and stuff. So there are religious overtones that are sometimes pretty overt and other times more subtle...but ultimately I don't think it's too much, and they certainly throw in as much off-color stuff as they can to offset it.
I don't think it's enough religious pervasiveness to turn anyone off, nor is the off-color stuff enough to offend most viewers...

I don't think it's enough religious pervasiveness to turn anyone off, nor is the off-color stuff enough to offend most viewers...
