Next Question
I have been watching, and although it starts slow, I think it will start to become interesting in the next few episodes.
One of the resons I think that is this article: http://www.avclub.com/articles/the-target,24147/
Here's a quote: "Eliza Dushku was quick to add that she’s not at all dissatisfied with the episodes before it, but the overall impression is that the first five were constructed more as standalone episodes that might hook the casual viewer while the back half of the season unfolds in more serialized fashion. (She also said that Whedon’s voice as a writer comes through more clearly than it has so far, which is great news given how little of it was evident in the premiere.) "
Also, Eliza is hot :)

The rumor is that the first six episodes were meddled with, or compromised, by Fox. Supposedly, they thought these episodes with phony action and bad pop elements would bring in viewers, after which Joss Whedon's magic writing would take over. Ironically, most people who are still watching are sort of grinding their teeth while waiting for the supposedly better episodes later on. The only thing that keeps me going is that Dr. Horrible is so great, it's hard to imagine that Whedon has lost his touch.

• Thanks for the quote. You have given all of us hope. I liked Firefly myself.

Frankly, the first four episodes have been terrible. The worst was the singer episode, last week. The last bank-vault episode was merely mediocre, but when you're hoping for something to keep you watching, that wasn't it. The rumor is that the first six episodes were meddled with, or compromised, by Fox. Supposedly, they thought these episodes with phony action and bad pop elements would bring in viewers, after which Joss Whedon's magic writing would take over.
