A lot really depends on your personal and/or informed of what constitutes "green" and "sustainable." These terms are thrown around quite easily these days, but as with most things once you subtract the fashionable elements of any of them, achieving real gains in the real world is not an easy task.

Technically the most "green" and "sustainable" thing you could do is to become an agrarian small farmer and live off your own efforts without interference in neighboring lands and without polluting, minus the electricity grid, minus electric lights, minus television, etc. What's your vision of green and sustainable?

Start there and once you've proved the case to yourself, you'll be able to decide what profession fits within your constraints.

Why not combine your video production work with green/sustainable companies and projects? Why don't you consider online video production green? The electricity needs? Advertising dollars are increasingly going into video, and that's more green than mailing print advertisements.

If you want to transition out of video altogether, you can find a new job on a green-specific job site like http://green.npost.com - just emphasize all your current skills (timeliness, organization, eye for detail) that would be applicable to the new position.

I do not see why you don't think you current job is already green and sustainable.
