Trying to decide whether Southern Tier Oak Aged IPA is best beer of the summer? Any other suggestions?

No way! My favorite summer beers are the wheat beers. Shock Top is probably the all time favorite. Sam Adams Summer Ale is a close second (their standard Boston Lager is a year-round great).
If you're an IPA fan, I would highly suggest trying out Magic Hat #9. It has a great flavor, but it doesn't have the bitterness that some IPAs do. Give it a try. Here's their website where you can get more information about it:
