How can I connect an Oki Microline printer to be discoverable in VMWare Fusion 2.0.2? | http://tinyurl.com/crv35x
I have an Oki Microline 320 Turbo printer that is connected directly via USB port on an iMac running Windows 7 in VMWare Fusion 2.0.2. Since the printer is windows only, I can't install drivers in OSX and then share them with the virtual machine. When I try to add the device manually in the windows OS, it is not discoverable. I think the drivers included on the Windows 7 OS would work with the printer, but I need to know what options I can change within the Virtual Machineto make the device discoverable.
I only want to print in the Windows OS, and the printer is directly connected through USB. I'm happy to provide more information as well.

Both of the comments below reference the user running Windows XP, Home Edition, with SP2. I am currently running a virtual machine with Windows 7 Ultimate. If this simply isn't possible in the beta stage, then I will try with XP SP2.

Well, I honestly don't know the exact answer to your question, but I did find someone who is having a similar problem and got it fixed. Here's a link to what they ended up doing. : http://communities.vmware.com/thread/105116

Got it up and running on XP SP2 without any problems. Thanks Hellboythegreat.
I've been able to find absolutely nothing involving windows 7 and this issue. I did find that the printer you are using should be windows 7 compatible. I think you're best chance of getting it to work would be trying it with xp sp2 and following the directions at the link I posted earlier.
