Trip to the beach, or trip to the desert?

Now that one depends. Does this trip to the desert secretly mean Las Vegas? If so sign me up!
I would prefer to go to the beach...it may be warm but a desert seems 20 times worse to me. I have always had proper hydration issues so seeing myself in a desert just puts a picture of me stumbling around and collasping from heat exhaustion...Yeah I would be fine in a hotel or retuarant if it was along a deserty stretch but ultimately I would prefer a beach...
