Trick or Treat. What's your all time favorite Halloween trick or treat?

My favorite Halloween treat are the caramel and nut covered apples. I don't have a favorite trick, but what about you? What's your favorite treat, and what's your favorite trick (if you have one)? Thanks.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

My favorite Halloween treat are the Apple Caramel tootsie pops--a diamond in the rough. They weren't common, so when i found one, it was like striking a sugar-enveloped gold mine. Do you remember the houses that gave pencils and toothbrushes? I Do. I'm 22 years old now and i still remember the houses that stiffed you. Gosh...

Halloween has ot be my favorite holiday and lately my family ahs been throwing me halloween themed birthday parties.
I was so lame as a kid and now as an adult. I loved getting pencil and erasers, pennies and bubble gum. I would trade my candy for those items. I had it figured out that what ever I got at Halloween I could use all year long! It was like cool, while you guys got stomach aches, I didn’t and I got to use ghost erasers, save pennies and so on. They thought I was crazy. But every holiday I was happy when I go the “ lame stuff” cause I could use it and always have happy memories when I did!
I did an article for Useless-Knowledge on Halloween candy err loot.

My ultimate Trick for my guests on Halloween is to have all the lights turned off in the house, but with a sign outside saying "If lights are off, please come in and get your treat". I have my loud scary music on with all the windows open. You can see the people deciding what's going on, so funny and when they finally come up to the house, the door is open and they are peering inside, i have candles on and my caludron and pumpkins doing their thing. Then i slowly come from behind the door, holding a candle and stare at them in the face, they get freaked out, cos my make-up is great and looks real, I offer them to come in, the answer is always "no, that's okay" hee hee and then i leave a tray of candies for them to help themselves. I have no pictures of last this last year, my camera had broken. Don't know what i will do this year. All the kids friends know our house now.
