Bora Bora is one of the Tahitian Islands (also called French Polynesia). It is located in an equatorial region of the South Pacific Ocean (in the Tropic of Capricorn) east of Australia and Tonga.

It is a noted resort area, drawing tourists from all over the world. Snorkeling, scuba and skin diving, and windsurfing are all popular sports.
