My favorite art museum in central Florida is the Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art. This museum owns the largest collection of the art of Louis Comfort Tiffany. First-time visitors are usually surprised to learn that Tiffany's art works include much more than leaded-glass windows and lamps. He also made jewelry, pottery, paintings, and art glass. By far the star of the collection is the breathtaking interior of a chapel that Tiffany designed for the World's Columbian Exposition in 1893. In addition to the Tiffany collection, the Morse displays paintings, sculpture, pottery by American artists.

Ths Morse Museum is located at 445 North Park Ave in Winter Park, Florida. The museum is open from 9:30 am through 4:00 pm Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1:00 through 4:00 on Sundays. Extended Friday hours apply from November through April. Admission is a very reasonable $3 for adults and $1 for students. Children under 12 are not charged. Free adminssion is also availble during the Friday extended hours and for special events.
