I like Sidestep the best. I use it every time I travel, both domestically and internationally.
Sidestep has the same basic functionality as all the other fare comparison sites. You put in your origin and destination, put in the dates you're traveling, and it tells you which airline has the cheapest fare.
But it goes a step farther. When you enter your origin and destination, it also tells you WHEN the cheapest fare is. Try it. Say you're going from Los Angeles to New York City--enter the airport codes LAX and LAG, and it will immediately tell you that the cheapest date to go in the next month is July 26, at $297. It even highlights the cheapest fare for you.
It also has great deals on hotels, rental cars, full vacations, cruises, etc. It's an amazing site and I would highly recommend it.
