If you are looking for hotels in walking distance to State St. I would like to help you narrow it down a bit. I would also suggest kayak.com to find the lowest hotel rates.

The Holiday Inn Express located on W. Haley Street accepts pets and I found a rate of $178. Not sure the dates you needed so check it out!

Wished for an answer with a bit more information, but this was the best.
That site was not very helpful. I know of a number more hotels than displayed at this site. They need to expand their database.
