The Adirondacks are beautiful. You will fill your camera's memory card so bring extras. Check out http://visitadirondacks.com, or http://www.adirondack.net for more info. If you are interested in hiking, try this state of NY site: http://www.dec.ny.gov/outdoor/7865.html.
