There are LOTS of kid- and family-friendly things to do in and near San Antonio. You and your family should be able to have a GREAT time.
When my sibs and I were little, our parents had season passes to Sea World of Texas every year. I LOVE this park, and would be there some time this summer if I still lived in the area.
Then there's Kiddie Park, a whole theme park designed for kids.
If you're in search of something a bit different, check out the Natural Bridge Caverns - very kid friendly.
San Antonio also has a zoo, a children's museum, and the River Walk, among other things.
You can get more information about most of the above attractions at SanAntonioRiverWalk.com.
Also, TripAdvisor.com has some great information about things to do with the kids...especially when you're trying to tire them out!
As for restaurants: I'd take the kids to Chuck E. Cheese's...fantastic place for them to eat and then burn off some energy, though not many of the adults I know are too thrilled with it. CiCi's Pizza is another pizzeria that you might like.
However, I can't really comment on restaurants that are specific to San Antonio because I haven't eaten out while in that city in a while. (Typically, we just eat at my aunt's place.)
