going to new mexico for july 4th weekend. any recommendations on what to do in santa fe vs. taos? figuring out where to spend a 2nd night.

I like Santa Fe, nearby Sandia Peak for a journey up the mountain via gondola to the restaurant. The town is ok, but I did not like it as much as Taos. The air is fresher there and the artist community puts it worlds apart.
