If you're looking for things to do, the best place to go is the Boise Visitors Bureau:

They have a calendar of events (http://www.boise.org/Calendar/), and a whole list of tourist attractions--http://www.boise.org/listings/index.cfm?catID=2&notify=1

This is something that looked pretty fun, if you've never been to the city before. Just get an overview of the place with a tour:
