There is a "Move" command (as well as a "Copy" command) in the "options" menu next to the Flight entry (and every other plan entry in general).

So you can use "Move"/"Copy" to shift plans around, getting the effect of merging them together (or breaking them apart).

(I just discovered this myself on a trip I'm setting up.)
