The best way is to travel by train rather than air.
Also, do not bring a 6 pack of Shiner Bock when you can bring their special anniversary Commemorator beer, which is much better!

I had great success stuffing bottles in my extra shoes that were packed in my suitcase. The shoes provide some padding and stability and, when packed inside the suitcase, are then surrounded by clothing. I've also had success wrapping the bottles in t-shirts in my luggage. Everything arrived safely.
I'm surprised you're transporting Shiner, though. Is it not available in New Jersey?

An interesting question. I've never traveled with a whole six-pack of beer, but I've carried single bottles of beer and liquor in my luggage before. I had great success stuffing bottles in my extra shoes that were packed in my suitcase. The shoes provide some padding and stability and, when packed inside the suitcase, are then surrounded by clothing. I've also had success wrapping the bottles in t-shirts in my luggage. Everything arrived safely.
