Mykonos is mainly beach and some villages. pretty but not particularly Interesting.
In Athens you should see the Acropolis of course, visit the museum and walk around the Plakka to see shops and restaurants. Avoid the overly touristy ones of course.
There's also a steep hill in the middle of the city that you can climb for the view. Many locals do so too.
