Tom Chatfield talks about 7 ways video games engage the brain. Which ones does Mahalo currently use and which new ones could be incorporated

I see that "badges" as satisfying 1,2 and 3. Answers and tipping involve 7 other people. I would like to see some kind of way to collaborate in answering a question or real world problem, and somehow have the rewards structured so that everyone can feel motivated to contribute. The video also mentions that $8 billion is spend buying virtual stuff within gaming systems. I wonder what Mahalo could offer?

1. Experience bars measuring progress
2. Multiple long and short-term aims
3. Rewards for effort
4. Rapid, frequent, clear feedback
5. An element of uncertainty
6. Windows of enhanced attention
7. Other people

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
