Today, in a tragic accident, my bright yellow tea kettle was killed. Does anyone have any thoughts on purchasing tea kettles to share?

You can always heat water in a regular pan on the stove. A tea kettle isn't a strict necessity. I personally avoid stovetop tea kettles because they can be a bit tricky to clean, and if your water has minerals, they will eventually accumulate in the kettle and this can affect the flavor of the water. One of my friends has a great heat-resistant glass kettle. I prefer those to the metal kettles as you can see visually that they are clean before you use them.

However, there are many outstanding electric kettles. Upton Tea Imports tends to have good prices on accessories, including electric kettles:

You might find that useful. Good luck!

I suggest you just use an electric kettle already rather than heating water or tea using kettle over stove top which will cause more energy rather than using an electric kettle. Electric kettles come in different types such as a cordless electric kettle while most feature a preset setting for heating water and other types of fluids. Most electric kettles also feature auto shut off to save more energy and electricity.

Nowadays, most electric tea kettles are made cordless. A cordless kettle has several advantages over an old fashioned electric kettle with an attached cord. You can easily remove it from its base to pour hot water without hindrance from the cord, and you can refill it without having to drag its cord around or worrying about getting the electric cord wet. Additionally, a higher-end cordless Cordless Electric Water Kettle has an enclosed heating element, so cleaning the kettle becomes an easy task.
