The supreme court rulings on free speech empowered the federal government oversee state laws, casting a shadow over the states. State and religion were not be separated. Free speech does not protect reckless, irresponsible, or subversive speech. The test for harm is not good. A person could make a speech about the evils of marriage and claim that his speech is doing no harm. His doctrines and philosophies may destroy believe systems that support family structure. The test of direct harm is not a good test.

I do not believe that people should be afraid to speak their point of view. I feel it is poison to hide your feelings away, whether they are harmful to the community or not.
I mean, sure, tell your wife her butt doesn't look big in that dress, but if you hate your neighbor's loud music, don't let it fester. Speak out!
Oh, free speech is about morality? Who's morality? A drug dealer's morality? A doctor's morality? A dictator's morality? Who is "in charge" of what is morally right and wrong?
I think that if you want to express yourself in any way, I am for it, as long as it does not lead to the harm of living beings or the destruction of property.

It is associated as an advertising page at the bottom of the "How To" pages.
Both questions caused me to be uncomfortable and too ponder about what could be done. I did include a comment in my black belt petition about content.
I have read studies about what content subjects that google thinks people are interested in. I saw sci-fi entertainment and movies as one group, but this questions seems to branch off into an more provocative branch of negative media. Pain!
The more popular this type of question becomes the rougher the crowd, it will attract. The absolution of reason and responsiblity and the emergence of hedonism.
Currently, there is a strong atheist group that likes promoting these type of questions that destroy fundamental values and demoralize morality. They laugh. They promote their godless religion of secularism by both image and content. I have tried to engage them in debate using logical and legalism, but they respond with vulgar images and harsh rhetoric. I is not use to reason with them. The end result is terror and their self gratification to sit at the pinnacle of civilization. No mercy, no love, just raw power.
I was not disappointed, I was appalled.
The problem with fighting evil is that it mocks. Rather than seek understand, it knows everything. I may be responsible for raising the question, but hopefully you will be responsible to vote for the removal of the page.
The irony here is that the questionable image promoting this page did its job, because as much as you may have been "offended" by it, you still apparently clicked the link with the picture of the half-naked lesbians to go to that page. Perhaps you were a little disappointed to learn that the page and the question themselves were actually a little more appropriate than you had hoped for. What's more....you are effectively promoting that page merely by asking a question about it, and this question already has 60 views....considerably more than some of your other questions about energy. Sex sells....bottom line....and it does so every single time. That is not just on Mahalo..that is everywhere. While I don't necessarily agree with it myself, there is not a lot that you can do to change human nature.
That page is in Conundrumland, an age protected website (albeit minimally) and at over 6000 page views a day it just makes no sense what so ever to sacrifice traffic by appeasing the delicate sensibilities of one single user.
Keep the page, make 100 more like it and promote, promote, promote until there are 600,000 views a day and then double it again and again.. just keep going and going until every single internet user has been there at least once.
I would rather promote that page than take it down Dave, there is no way 265,000 + page views is bad... big number page views means good traffic and good traffic means potential money for us.. and there is not one thing offensive about that page.. it is 100% more offensive to suggest taking it down. I say keep it up!

That page has 265,581 page views..I would recommend if you do not like the page you do not go to the page because the page view numbers certainly indicate you are in the minority in opposition to the page and its content.

Go to "How to", click on a how to page, go to the bottom of the page and your will see a page called, "How much is too much".
That is the problem with this page, the title does not match content. It uses clever words to lure people in by provoking a simple thought then shocking them.
In general, the problem with pages is artificial popular statistics. The shift to pages away from Q & A was a mistake.
I think there are other pages on Mahalo that could be promoted which more closely match the interests of the site.
What are the central interests of the site: coupons, cars, car parts, food, finances, etc.
How can this page be considered a part of the core values of the site? This page seems to be an experiment, like certain questions that occasionally pop up in Q & A that are shocking and potentially hazardous.
@budda, I don't want to use this question as a promotion of the page. Just the opposite. I am working to get the page removed because it is painful. I provided step by step instructions on how to find the page rather than provide a link to prevent promotion.
Demoralization and devaluation are the central themes. Pandering to villains transforms into them into heroes of worldliness, power, and paganism. The intellectual disregard for morals and decency is allowed to rule. Sad.
I cannot speak for him but I certainly would not even consider removing the page on economics and traffic alone. 266,020 page views, Dave the question is skyrocketing up in page views.. that is traffic and traffic is the core value of this site.

this questions is quite cool . i doubt how that answer got best answer votes. however i think problem is resolved . i really thought that question is about woman to woman intimacy or something like that . Yes i agree with davepamn , no where this questions is related to the image they provided .i wish mahalo could redirect that image to proper question.

The link above is the page in question and the page is actually a Conundrumland page just linked to Mahalo if a few spots I guess. I had not seen the link in over a month until today.
Help me rally support and vote the page, off the island
The page gets prime time advertising space. What do you expect?
A solution is for Mahalo to replace it with a popular question and give that question advertising space driving up the page hits.
I suggest a contest, a questions and answer contest where pages over 1000 hits compete are considered as a replacement page.

The revenue on this page must be in the thousands. However, if the content is offensive then getting rid of it now though painful is necessary. Pull the tooth. It will make the site cleaner.
Whatever the page is if davepamn felt bad there must be a valid reason . But davepamn we should agree this site is driven by majority people interest . If one or two such questions got such publicity you must understand people are liking it and that page is generating some revenue too . what ever that return money should be considered good . one such page can generate enough money to mahalo so that they can spend people like you and buddawiggis to ask at least 100 great questions . so i think wotever it is , if you look at whole picture , its a fair trade .
look at mahalos home page . you should be very thankful to them davepamn . they gave whole credit to mahalo answers you see no links of mahalo pages / mahalo how tos i thought you must be feeling happy for that .
