Time for the old question clean up. There is an extremely long list of undecided questions. Please go and vote on some.

Make sure you try to vote on ones that have few or no votes. Remember you guys get points for voting. Be good Mahaloians and vote.

Question goes to the person who does the best job.

Good Luck!

Tip for best answer: M$5.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I always make sure to go to the areas of interest and look at the undecided ones and vote.

But I have also noticed some categories with questions that have been sitting in the queue for over 40 days (eg. food and drink ) without an answer!

We all have work if we know where to go! Get out and vote and answer some old question too!

Since we don't have a place to post important reminders like this one, @mathewh, we have to use this area.
There are people who are just starting out here and this might actually help them. So you are right, this isn't a typical Q&A, but it is helpful to some and a reinder to others .

I always vote every day up to my maximum allocation.

I think it's a duty of everyone in Mahalo to do this and what's more I get points for it and enjoy it too.

I agree, there are way too many questions that are undecided. I've been voting all throughout the day! Hopefully this helps all those undecided questions!

Some days I spend all my time here, just voting... simply to mitigate this very problem!

I wanted to say thank you!

I am currently a green belt with a purple tip and have been trying to get points so I can manage a few more pages.

Up to the point where I read your question, I hadn't voted on a single question (that I could remember anyway)

I went out and answered up to my limit. It was quite fun actually.
Unlike asking questions and answering questions, you don't really have to be an expert. You just have to be able to judge a good answer when you see it.

I didn't vote when the question and answer were over my head, but most were easy enough to figure out who was giving the best answer (and what questions really didn't have a good answer)

Thanks again!

I vote to my maximum any day that I vote, some days I don't make it to the computer. I also browse through the oldest unanswered and try to clear a few of them off too.

Thanks for the reminder, pazaq! I'd been taking a break after pushing to get my black belt, but have officially declared "break over." I started this morning on a slower web connection. I'll max out now that things have sped up.

For those out there motivated by belt rank, I recommend voting to your maximum ability daily. It took about 6 weeks to get to black belt from brown using primarily this tactic!

I vote everyday. Often I get to see questions that I missed and read the answers. I have learned and discovered many useful items this way.

I can only read so many WHO IS THE BEST PLUMBER questions, and I did answer a couple and got negative comments... so..... also HOW does one keep track of how many one answered or voted for?

I am still learning... today I want to show someone how many pages a person can manage and couldn't find the list!!!

I think a negative comment should require a post explaining why it was voted down. Like a "refuted fact".

Why just say "that's not a helpful answer"? Tell me what would have made my answer better!

the_brain's Avatar
the_brain | 2 years, 11 months ago Report

As a green belt you can vote up to 30 times a day. You just have to look at your point total and add 30 points to it. And you'll know you are close when you approach that number. You can always skip over the plumber questions by using the category tab to selected newest, oldest undecided questions.

Thanks for reminding people. It helps out everyone when people vote. It's easy to get caught up answering a ton of questions, but if no one votes for them, they don't get decided on a best answer.
