Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

A quote from Mick Jagger when asked what the difference between the Beatles and the Rolling Stones was (paraphrased): "There are four of them and five of us."

A quote from John Lennon (paraphrased): "The Rolling Stones do everything that the Beatles do - just six months later."

The Beatles started it all. The Rolling Stones wouldn't be the power house we know today if it hadn't been for the Beatles, who wrote one of their first hits "I Wanna Be Your Man." (See video.)

So I'd say that I prefer the Beatles, by far. The problem with the Rolling Stones is that they've continued to go on touring and making records long after their prime.

Now if we're talking about a battle between the groups, a fist-fight or something, then I'd say the Stones would win. They're rougher; some of them have spent some time in prison (even if it wasn't more than a week).

But, in conclusion, in a musical sense, the Beatles are superior.

The Rolling Stones hands down. The Beetles are tree hugging hippie liberals and shouldn't be put in the same sentence let alone the same category as the Rolling Stones.

But Keith Richards climbs trees and falls off them! Isn't that like hugging a tree? And failing at it :-P

well, darlin...i said it before, and i'll say it again: comparing the music of the beatles to the stones is like comparing pequins to petines........both are hot and tasty but each only go with certain dishes.

some might say that the beatles "started it all", but i think that the likes of elvis and jerry lee lewis started it all (at least for white listener markets), and until the beatles came along, nobody really got away with it all in the united kingdom.

I think a better question would've been The Beatles vs. The Beach Boys.
