(This is info, not a question) Interesting paper on Mahalo's founder at http://bit.ly/kyqsp Your comments?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

What an interesting article.

I hope that this type of comparison becomes some sort of serial or reoccurring post. Comparing the skills, abilities and history of two people who are successful in similar fields is exceptionally interesting. Not only does it highlight the strengths of each but also makes one think about how their own attributes match and contrast.

Thank-you for posting this question, Fibo. I'll be watching and hoping that viralogy.com does this with different people in the future.

A native of Brooklyn, with Greek and Irish origins, Calacanis attended Fordham University. During the dot-com boom, he was active in New York's Silicon Alley community and in 1996 began producing a publication known as the Silicon Alley Reporter. Originally a 16-page photocopied newsletter, as its popularity grew it expanded into a 300-page magazine, with a sister publication called the Digital Coast Reporter for the West Coast. Calacanis's tireless socializing earned him a nickname as the "yearbook editor" of the Silicon Alley community
