I would consider XM Radio first, but it all depends on what you are looking for.
Are you looking for a radio to go in your car? A radio to carry around portable, or a radio to hook up to a home stereo system?
Sirius and XM have recently merged, and the majority of the stations that are available are identical. There are some difference, though.
Sirius has Howard Stern, Bubba the Love Sponge, and NFL.
XM has Major League Baseball and Opie and Anthony.
XM subscribers can actually get all of the Sirius stuff by subscribing to the "Best of Sirius" package. Sirius subscribers can get O&A, but can NOT get baseball.
I am an XM subscriber (With Best of Sirius) and I love it. reception is great. You can drive across the country and never have to change the channel. No commercials on MOST music channels is AMAZING. XM has over 170 channels, Sirius has over 130 channels. If you cannot find SOMETHING you like, you are not trying hard enough.
