Thinking about having a BBQ tomorrow... Anyone have any suggestionson what wines to pair with Burgers and pasta salad?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

"Pinot Gris and Pinot Grigio. This crisp wine pairs well with pasta, grilled poultry, seafood and mild fish. It's also good with dishes served with pesto sauces.
A dry rosé is a good match with many fish dishes, smoked poultry and Southwestern seasonings. Try a sweeter White Zinfandel with burgers or anything eaten with ketchup or a tomato-based barbecue sauce.
Cabernet Sauvignon. A natural with a great steak, it's also good with lamb seasoned with rosemary, venison and other game and duck. Lighter, younger cabs pair well with burgers, chuck and flank steak dishes and roasts.
Rhones and other reds from the South of France also vary enormously. Most lend themselves to a wide variety of foods, ranging from burgers to game hens and rich fish.
Zinfandel is a great red meat wine. Pair it with beef, venison and other game. It's also good with pork with Greek seasonings, spicy sausages, rare tuna, duck and grilled peppers, eggplant and tomatoes."

You will want red wine for sure. The best red wine in the world, in my opinion, is Riunite Lambrusco. It's not too dry and not too sweet. Perfect blend! This wine is especially good if you are having guests over and you aren't sure what their taste in red wine is. Everyone I have ever served a glass to has absolutely loved it.

You might try a Shiraz, or a nice pitcher of fruity Sangria. Jacob's Creek makes a nice inexpensive Shiraz.

A light Chardonnay is great with pasta salad, go for Pinot Noir or a Cab for the Burgers
