There was a new type of storm on yahoo a few weeks ago i have just heard of, i believe it was a wall of wind that goes through an area? Name

You are likely think of a derecho. This type of storm is a widespread and long lived windstorm that is associated with a band of rapidly moving showers or thunderstorms. There was a Mahalo Answers question about that here...
