The word ENCOURAGE contains another word that has a similar meaning. What is the other word?

I think any of these could fit with the exception of "Rage". Usually people who are older and have some age on them, try to encourage the younger ones. When you encourage someone to do something, you try to build their confidence and courage up. Encouraging is something that is usually a team effort, so "our" would come into place.
I could be off base here, but I think all three of those words, courage, age and our, fit. I am not seeing any relationship between encourage and rage.
Of course encourage is a form of courage, so instead of meaning the same thing, I would think that it is just a form of the word courage. After all, Merriam-Webster.com defines encourage as: " to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope"

M$The word encourage, to me, means someone may be afraid of doing something, or hesitant. We can suggest someone to try and let them know they CAN do anything they put their mind to. We can give them the "courage" to try.
Courage, to me, is similar in meaning. Courage means finding the strength to do something that may seem hard or difficult. Dig down deep and try to "do" whatever it is.
I try to encourage my children often to do the right things in life. To do the right, harder things we can be called courageous.
In the Wizard of Oz, the lion was seeking "Courage" and in the movie we often see him being nervous and afraid. He needed courage so he could do and try everything and anything he wanted. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2472/3618174590_9a21cc0de3_t.jpg
