I think it's awesome that Sherri chose to lose weight the old-fashioned way and share it with the audience instead of having secret surgery like other TV personalities (cough cough Star Jones). Sherri looks great, and I heard her say on The View the other day that she used to be a size 2 so I am curious to see if she'll try to lose even more (not that she needs to!). Her weight-loss goals may not have originated as a publicity stunt, but I am glad she decided to share her journey with the audience so that others can learn from it or be inspired.

As far as it being a publicity stunt, sure it was. I don't think that the original goal of her losing weight was to produce publicity, but since they had the opportunity...
I think it's great she lost the weight, either way, and wish her the best.

Does Sherri Shepherd's weight loss story inspire you?
''The View'' co-host Sherri Shephard revealed yesterday her new fab body by appearing on the show in a bathing suit. I think she is awesome for showing how people can lose weight with plain old diet and exercise. Are you inspired by her story or do you think this was just a publicity stunt?

I'm not sure that I'm "inspired," but at the same time I think it's great that she was able to do it. The real trick will be to see if she can keep the weight off long term. As far as it being a publicity stunt, sure it was. I don't think that the original goal of her losing weight was to produce publicity, but since they had the opportunity...
I think it's great she lost the weight, either way, and wish her the best.
